The Chicagoland Bully Breed Rescue is a not-for-profit animal rescue serving the states of IL, IN, and WI. The rescue specializes in all the bull breeds, but has a focus on pit bulls.
They teach the public about pit bull breed characteristics. By having a better understanding of the breed, they believe people will form a more positive image of the pit bull. Through educational seminars, various shows and community activities the rescue tries to make an impact on the future of the pit bull terrier breed.
Their rescue dogs are placed in boarding kennels and foster homes while waiting for their own special family. The main goal of the rescue is to find the dogs safe and responsible homes. Rescued pit bulls can be more difficult to place into homes for reasons such as insurance coverage, city ordinances, and fear of the breed. Currently over 30 dogs are in need of homes at Chicagoland Bully Breed Rescue.
