Barbara Camick, director of annual giving

Barbara is the director of annual giving for Best Friends Animal Society. In this capacity, she is responsible for the recruitment, cultivation and stewardship of members donating up to $25,000 annually; contributing more than $25 million toward Best Friends’ annual revenue of over $100 million. Prior to joining Best Friends in 2012, Barbara was a director with the March of Dimes for four years, and a principal consultant with Target Software/Blackbaud for nearly 10 years. Barbara worked with many of the nation’s largest nonprofits to understand their objectives, strategies, and challenges; then supported implementation of the data management infrastructure and business processes to achieve strategic goals. Barbara has earned her CFRE designation, and also has her MBA and a degree in psychology. Barbara left the New England winters behind a few years ago, and now happily lives in Kanab, Utah, with her daughter, Scarlett, and their menagerie of three dogs, two cats, one parrot, two chickens and two horses.
