Holly Harris-Reid, director, human resources

Holly joined Best Friends in 2006 as controller overseeing accounting and finance before becoming director of human resources in 2009. She is responsible for aligning HR strategies with business needs to Save Them All through our people. In addition, she oversees the core operational areas of human resources, such as benefits, recruiting, employee relations, and payroll.

Holly has 25 years of combined corporate, start-up, and nonprofit experience. She has an MBA with an emphasis in organizational development, in addition to degrees in accounting and journalism. Prior to Best Friends, Holly did extensive editorial work in conservation and was treasurer of the board for the Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest. She has volunteered for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and the Orangutan Foundation International.

Holly and her husband, Glen, are the doting parents of four dogs. They love to travel to faraway places and take road trips with their dogs. Holly has a special affinity for Brazil where she grew up, the great apes, and riding her Vespa through Snow Canyon.
