According to recent buzz, a stunning, star-studded Yowlywood red carpet event will take place Saturday, and it's rumored that all the A-List celebkitties will be in attendance.

Big-name icons like Gwyneth Pawltrow, Colin Furrth, Bengal Affleck and Katy Purry not only will be on hand for photo ops and pawtographs, but feline fans can even adopt them and take them home.

This spectacular affair is Best Friends Animal Society's star-studded ACATemy Awards adoption event, this Saturday at the Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall Street, Eatontown, N.J., 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This luminous and large-scale event stars more than 200 alluring, adoptable cats from five local shelters and rescue groups.

The exquisite event spotlights fabulous felines from local New Jersey animal welfare organizations who so far have been snubbed by adopters. The charismatic cats are from Monmouth County SPCA; Liberty Humane Society, Jersey City; Noah's Ark Animal Welfare Association, Ledgewood; FUR Friends in Need, Hazlet; and St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center, Madison/North Branch. Get ready for glitz, glamour and giveaways for adopters, as well as a red carpet entrance to the Monmouth County SPCA Homeward Bound Adoption Center.

Adding to the appeal to the feline fanfare will be enchanting local celebrity and Miss New Jersey International, Brielle LaCosta, lending her support to the occasion as well. Brielle will be on hand as potential pet parents seek out their own Best Supporting Feline.

Of course the captivating cats are the true stars of Best Friends' ACATemy Awards. And the winners will be (envelope please) every fantastic feline that finds a new furever family.

Although this is a fun, lighthearted event, the very serious goal is to save lives. Lost cats rarely have identification or are reclaimed by their owners, and too many cats are overlooked by adopters in shelters. Best Friends works with humane groups all across the country to bring about a time when there are No More Homeless Pets®.
