Why should you fix your pet?

Spaying or neutering is one of the greatest gifts you can provide your pet, your family and your community. These routine medical procedures not only help prevent medical and behavioral problems from developing, they also help decrease the number of pets entering shelters and free up homes for other pets by preventing unwanted litters. By getting your pet spayed or neutered, you are doing your part to help Save Them All.

Spaying or neutering can help your pet live a longer, healthier life. Spaying females eliminates the risk of ovarian or uterine infections and cancer, and may reduce the incidence of mammary cancer. In males, neutering eliminates testicular cancer and decreases the incidence of prostate disease.

Spaying or neutering also can have a positive effect on your pet's behavior. Mounting, howling, spraying urine and the urge to roam are often reduced. In female pets, the inconvenient "heat" cycle, with its messy discharge, is eliminated. But, don't worry. Your pet's personality and playfulness will stay the same.
