Exploring the Sanctuary on your own: You set the pace

While visiting Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, you can explore some of our most special places at your own speed. Relax to the sound of windchimes and celebrate the everlasting bond we share with our pets at Angels Rest and Angels Overlook.

You can also enjoy a plant-based meal at Angels Village café (the view is unbelievable) and pause to give thanks to all who advocate for animals at the Gratitude Garden. Nearby, the Labyrinth is a peaceful spot that is perfect for meditation and quiet contemplation. With its naturally created amphitheater, Angels Landing is the ideal spot for a picnic or beverage break.

Don't leave without stopping at the welcome center to pick up a memento of your trip.

The public areas of the Sanctuary are open seven days a week (except Christmas Day) during business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and there are a ton of different itineraries you can plan.  When driving, we ask that you please stay on the main roads. Private roads are marked.

If you have questions about our animal admission policies, or what to do if you find stray animals, please see our animal admission policy at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
