Elissa Jones, director, publications and creative assets
Elissa discovered Best Friends more than 15 years ago as a member, then as a volunteer at the Sanctuary. She joined the staff in 2005, and her first project was the creation of our Guardian Angel program and associated website. During her time at Best Friends, she created the "DogTown" television show with National Geographic and oversaw the production of the show at the Sanctuary for the four seasons that it was on the air. Elissa currently oversees the imagery (video and photo), editorial and creative teams.
Elissa brings 20 years of video production, special events, public relations and sales experience to her work at Best Friends. In all of her work, storytelling has been both a key job function and a personal passion.
Elissa graduated from Oregon State University with a BS in broadcast media communications. Elissa and her husband, Michael, live in Oregon with their young son and an extended family of dogs and cats.
