Best Friends and Hallmark Channel celebrate Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog Month
Hallmark Channel and Best Friends Animal Society have formed a unique partnership to spotlight Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog Month and raise awareness for the thousands of homeless dogs in shelters across the country.
Every day throughout the month of October, Hallmark Channel's Emmy-Nominated daytime lifestyle program Home & Family will feature special segments
hosted by pet rescue advocate, Suzanne Browning. Together, we will highlight a different dog from Best Friends' Pet Adoption & Spay/Neuter Center in Mission Hills, California.
The initiative will also include social media efforts to engage viewers, allow them to share stories about and pictures of their own shelter dogs, and establish a forum for a public dialogue around pet adoption. Happy the dog, a rescue himself and official canine ambassador to Hallmark Channel's Pet Project, will be the face of the month-long effort and will make a special appearance on Home & Family.
You can tune in to Home & Family Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. ET/PT, 11 a.m. CT.
