When Wyatt arrived at the Sanctuary from a rescue organization in Arizona, he was feral. He didn't know how to walk on leash, and he was terrified of everyone and everything. Now, Wyatt is still shy and fearful, and is still considered a flight risk. But with the right doggie friend by his side and a patient person to guide him, he really comes out of his shell. He walks on leash nicely now and loves going for walks with his doggie roommate. He just recently learned that the car is not such a scary thing. He will get in the car and go for short rides, but Dogtown caregivers and trainers are still working on getting him to be more comfortable in the car. When he gets comfortable enough around people, he will show his huge and goofy personality. Wyatt was born in 2014. He needs a home with a person or family who will give him a chance, someone who will show him patience and allow him time to get used to a new environment. Wyatt would also do best in a home with a confident dog who can show him that the world is not so scary. He does seem to prefer female dogs over other males. Wyatt is already crate trained and is still working on his car skills. He has even been learning to do agility with his roommate. Sailing over agility obstacles he was once afraid of has really helped to boost his confidence. Wyatt has lots of potential. Will you be the one who helps him unleash it?
