Although he often has a stoic look on his face, Conan absolutely loves people and wants to sit in your lap. Originally rescued from Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas, Conan went to two other rescue organizations before coming to Best Friends for help with various medical needs. Conan really needed help getting his allergies under control, and with a lot of hard work and structure, he's finally on the upswing. He is very food motivated and ready to learn new tricks or practice nose work, a fun search and scenting sport. He does tend to shred toys and eat them, so hard toys and chews are best for him. He is crate trained, so he is fine with hanging out in a crate when he is unattended or for nap time. Born in 2009, Conan really likes playing with dogs at the Sanctuary! His food allergies are currently being managed with a prescription diet, which he enjoys, and an occasional bath.
