Special Criteria

Just like the flower, Peony has a bright and sunny personality. She loves everyone she meets and enjoys attention. She's always super happy and wiggly when she sees her human friends. She also loves running around with her toys and is super cute when she does that. Peony coexists nicely with other dogs and would do well with a calm and mellow doggie friend in a home. She cannot live with cats, however, because she has shown aggression toward them in the past. Born in 2013, Peony came to Best Friends from a small local shelter. She has separation anxiety and has opened gates in Dogtown to be with her people. She'll need a safe and secure home with a person or family who is home most of the time and can work on slowly transitioning her to alone time. At Dogtown, she is working on basic manners and polite greetings. She arrived at the Sanctuary with ear infections and is currently being treated for them. Peony would love a home where she has lots of company. She's longing to be someone's best friend and to be by her person's side all the time.
