TX: Support humane pet sales in the Lone Star State

Great news! The Texas state legislature is considering lifesaving, bipartisan legislation that would prevent pet stores from selling puppies and kittens sourced from inhumane breeding mills.

If enacted, House Bill 1818 will help put an end to the suffering of countless animals in substandard breeding facilities and reduce killing in Texas shelters by shrinking the retail market for milled pets - while increasing adoption opportunities for homeless dogs and cats.

Austin, El Paso, Fort Worth, San Antonio, The Colony and Waco have already passed humane pet sales ordinances. It's time to enact this commonsense legislation statewide.
