The Board of Commissioners has voted to protect community cats!

The Durham County Commission will soon vote on a lifesaving community cat ordinance.

If approved, this ordinance will help the community implement lifesaving (and nuisance-reducing) trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) programs.

TNVR (also known as TNR or trap-neuter-return) is an animal-friendly, veterinarian-approved, cost-effective, and common-sense method for keeping community cats safe, healthy, and out of shelters, while reducing their numbers over time.
