Ask your legislators to cosponsor House File 1532 / Senate File 762.

Well-behaved dogs and responsible pet owners shouldn't have to worry about losing homeowners insurance coverage. However, homeowners insurance companies can currently cancel Minnesotans' coverage based solely on their dog's assumed breed.

House File 1532 / Senate File 762 would prohibit breed-restrictive insurance practices in Minnesota. This legislation would rightfully place the emphasis on behavior rather than what a dog looks like.
