Ask county commissioners to reconsider cruel animal ordinance.
NM: Protect cats in Doña Ana County

Cats in Doña Ana County need your voice!
The new section of the county's animal control ordinance, Section 134-7 (4), states that healthy cats cannot be returned to their homes if they were picked up within 2 MILES of the Rio Grande or within 2000 feet of an arroyo — instead, they will be at risk of euthanasia.
This means most of the county is a no-go zone for cats. The ordinance also impedes the rights of residents who want to practice trap-neuter-return (TNR) on their own property.
TAKE ACTION: Urge county commissioners to reconsider and repeal the ordinance.
