Saving lives in Waynesboro
Best Friends Animal Society is bringing lifesaving tactics to shelters and rescue groups across the country. Based on a foundation of compassion and inclusion, we're working together to help both pets and people. We want to make sure that everyone has the same access to loving pets and that every adoptable pet has the option of residing in the comfort of a foster home rather than in a kennel at a shelter.
That's why we're excited to collaborate with the Antietam Humane Society. Together, with the staff at Antietam Humane Society, we're working to save the lives of adult cats and orphaned kittens through our foster program. Fostering a cat or kitten, even for a short time, will free up space in the shelter needed to make room to care for other cats.
Working in conjunction with Antietam Humane Society, Best Friends is looking for volunteer foster families willing to open their hearts and homes to these at-risk pets, and help care for them until they are ready to be adopted.
