Whether you're here a single day or a whole week, there's plenty to do — from taking a tour to volunteering in the animal care centers to shopping for souvenirs to bring home to your pet.

Chances are, your love of animals is the main reason for your visit to the Sanctuary. The best way to get some quality one-on-one interaction with the animals during your visit is to book a volunteer shift. If a particular dog or cat piques your interest during your shift, ask your volunteer coordinator about scheduling a sleepover or outing.

For the safety and comfort of everyone, including the animals, visitors are not permitted to spend time in the animal areas unless they are on a tour or volunteering, and we encourage you to reserve your spot for activities as far in advance as possible.

Tours, volunteer opportunities and other activities fill up fast, and we want to make sure you get the most out of your visit.

Scheduled tours and volunteer shifts

Once you book your tour, be sure to look for your tour confirmation email for check-in details. Tours can fill up quickly, so we recommend booking your spot well in advance.

After you book your volunteer shift, you can report directly to the area you’ve been assigned a few minutes before the start time. As with tours, volunteer shifts can fill up quickly, so we recommend booking well in advance.
