Jennifer Barta is the volunteer resources manager for the Oregon Humane Society (OHS). She began as a volunteer in 2008 and has spent the last six years working with and managing volunteers within programs at OHS. Jennifer created an intake program utilizing volunteer and staff working alongside each other to bring in 5,000 to 6,000 animals a year.
With a 10-year background in education, Jennifer has created systems that further volunteer growth and utilize them in training and leadership positions within shelter programs. She has spent the last 15 years in Portland with her husband and their little family of three dogs, two cats and the ever-rotating foster animal.
