Tami Simon

Network events supervisor

Tami SimonTami Simon, Best Friends’ events supervisor for the No More Homeless Pets Network, began her journey into animal welfare very early in life. When she wasn’t allowed to bring stray cats and dogs home, she ventured out on her own, rescuing worms, ants and birds. Later in life, when she had her own home, she became an independent rescuer of dogs.

After more than 30 years in sales, management and product development for various corporations, she finally was able to land her dream job in animal welfare with Best Friends Animal Society, starting out as a campaign coordinator in Las Vegas and later serving as the community animal assistance manager at the Sanctuary in Kanab. In her current position, Tami develops and manages adoption promotions and events for Network partners, including their involvement in Strut Your Mutt.

She currently shares her home with a rescue dog from Best Friends and two rescue cats. Rio, the fluffy Siamese-Himalayan mix (pictured), was the first kitten rescued from Best Friends’ TNR program at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
