Best Friends Animal Society

Barbara is the director of annual giving for Best Friends Animal Society. In this capacity, she is responsible for the recruitment, cultivation and stewardship of members donating up to $25,000 annually, which contributes more than $28 million toward Best Friends’ annual revenue of $110 million. Prior to joining Best Friends in 2012, Barbara was a director with the March of Dimes for four years, and she was a principal consultant with Target Software/Blackbaud for nearly 10 years. Barbara worked with many of the nation’s largest nonprofits to understand their objectives and challenges, and then supported implementation of the data management infrastructure and business processes to achieve strategic goals. Barbara has earned her certified fundraising executive (CFRE) designation, an MBA degree, as well as a degree in psychology. She lives with her daughter, Scarlett, in New England on a small hobby farm with a menagerie of animals.
