Bonney Brown is the president, founder and principal consultant for Humane Network, and the former executive director of Nevada Humane Society in Reno. As the director of Nevada Humane Society, she dramatically increased adoption rates and led the community to achieve and sustain a 94% live release rate for dogs and cats. Washoe County, Nevada, became one of the safest communities in the country for homeless animals and received the Maddie’s Fund Community Lifesaving Award.

Bonney created and teaches the University of the Pacific’s shelter management certificate program and is a frequent speaker on the topic of pet adoption and other lifesaving programs, as well as management and fundraising for humane organizations.

She is a former chief operating officer for Best Friends Animal Society and former campaign director for Alley Cat Allies. In 1992, Bonney founded Neponset Valley Humane Society in Canton, Massachusetts.

Bonney has more than 10 years of experience in retail buying and management, and is a graduate of Boston University.
