Grassroots Advocacy Coordinator
Carol Reyes is the grassroots advocacy coordinator for Best Friends Animal Society. Her career in animal welfare began in 2012 when she encountered a colony of community cats outside a parking lot of a local grocery market and wanted to learn how she could help the cats in her community. This ignited a spark that led her to volunteer and work with several animal welfare organizations across Los Angeles, California. In 2017, she joined Best Friends’ community cat program based out of Riverside County’s animal shelter in Coachella Valley, with a goal to increase cat lifesaving through trap-neuter-return and return-to-field. Although there may be less cat action, she continues her path of cat lifesaving in her current role by helping others to become the best advocates for the animals in their communities. Carole resides in Southern California with her four cats: Susie, Star-lord, Logan and Jack.
