Senior Manager, Georgia
Carrie Ducote currently works with the Southeast regional team at Best Friends, helping shelters implement best practices to decrease the number of animals they are killing. She started as a volunteer at an animal rescue group in college and worked at the Atlanta Humane Society and the Georgia SPCA before joining Best Friends in 2015. Before joining the regional team, she worked with the Atlanta team on starting up the Cobb County community cat program, the adoption center and the transport program. As the chair of Georgias animal welfare coalition, The Coalition of Hope, she has been working on collaborative initiatives with organizations and communities throughout Georgia for years. Carrie holds a bachelors degree in biology from Georgia College and State University and a masters degree in anthrozoology from Canisius College.
