Senior Manager, Southeast Region
Carrie Ducote got hooked on animal welfare in 2007 when she began volunteering at a shelter in college. She worked at Atlanta Humane Society and Georgia SPCA before joining Best Friends Animal Society in 2015 as the Senior Manager for the Southeast Region. Carrie currently works with shelters and municipalities in the Southeast to implement best practices and save more animals. As the chair of the Georgia Animal Shelter Alliance, she has been bringing together organizations, advocates and municipal leaders throughout Georgia to work toward the shared goal of a no-kill state. Carrie holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Georgia College and State University and a master's degree in anthrozoology from Canisius College.
