Training Specialist - National Volunteer Dept.
Chris Boortz is a training specialist for the national outreach volunteer programs department at Best Friends Animal Society. She and her team are responsible for consulting with and training Best Friends Network partners regarding their volunteer programs. Prior to joining Best Friends in 2010, Chris worked in public education for 29 years. She loves to learn new things and is enthusiastic about sharing what she knows with others. She loves seeing people have those 'aha' moments. Chris lives in Kanab, Utah, and shares her life with her wife and their four dogs. She is the founder of Southwest Pet Assist, a small organization that supports pets and their people in southwest Utah. In her spare time, she likes to garden and take naps.
