Shelter Intervention Program Coordinator
Denton Hawk is the shelter intervention program coordinator at the Montgomery Humane Society in Montgomery, Alabama, with nine years of hands-on experience in this fast-paced shelter environment. He graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery (Alabama) in 1994 with bachelor of science and bachelor of arts degrees in information systems He has worked as a small business executive, a high-volume real estate professional and a systems analyst. He found his professional passion (saving shelter animals) while volunteering at the Montgomery Humane Society walking dogs. He aims to be as effective as possible in saving as many shelter animals as possible using his small business, sales and IT backgrounds in the animal welfare industry. He also strives to stay up to date with the latest lifesaving trends and, even more important, implementing those new practices without delay. When he is not working, he’s either watching the news, traveling in his RV or spending time at the beach.
