Elizabeth Jensen

Elizabeth Jensen joined Best Friends Animal Society in 2015 as the executive director for Best Friends in New York, opening the Best Friends Lifesaving Center in Manhattan in 2017. In 2018, Elizabeth’s role expanded to supporting shelters within the northeast as the Northeast region director. In 2020, she transitioned to the development side of the organizational chart as senior strategist, working to engage external stakeholders in the goal of achieving a no-kill country by the year 2025. Prior to joining Best Friends, Elizabeth worked in a leadership capacity for 17 years at Bergdorf Goodman, a New York City-based luxury retailer.
