Leslie Sans turned vision into reality by successfully starting Dallas Pets Alive in 2012. With almost nine years of animal rescue experience, she is dedicated to saving lives and ensuring that Dallas, Texas, becomes a no-kill city. Leslie found her passion for animal rescue and the no-kill movement in 2010 and began serving as a volunteer with Austin Pets Alive. Through her leadership, Dallas Pets Alive has saved over 4,000 lives, implemented innovative programming, and received national and international marketing awards. Her professional experience also includes having served as the Director of the Suder Foundation, presenting and facilitating leadership training for diverse audiences, as well as international leadership program development. Leslie holds a master’s degree in higher education and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Texas A&M University. She is the proud mom of two beautiful daughters, Sloan and Gwyneth, and two fur babies, Zoey and Lulu.
