Melina Stambolis

Veterinary Operations Supervisor

Community Veterinary Clinic at Humane Society of Sonoma County

Melina Stambolis is the veterinary operations supervisor at the Humane Society of Sonoma County. She supervises the spay/neuter program and helps run the low-cost Community Veterinary Clinic (CVC) with her DVM wife, Ada Norris. The CVC is a busy sliding-scale veterinary clinic providing surgery, dentistry and urgent medical care for income-qualifying families. Melina’s clinical experience is broad and far-flung, from specialty-level advanced anesthesia to HVHQSN to shelter medicine to dentistry to international outreach and field medicine. Melina brings her knowledge and experience to advance the training and skills of all on her team to provide consistent, high-level and efficient care to every animal and the families who depend on them. She is fluent in Spanish and has traveled extensively through South America and Central America, but these days prefers to stay close to home to hang out with her rescued animals, which include dogs, goats, chickens and a trio of barn cats, along with a rotating cast of foster animals.
