In the role of senior manager, prospect management and major gifts at Best Friends Animal Society, Susan Schroeter brings more than 25 years of nonprofit fundraising and management experience as well as wholehearted enthusiasm to saving the lives of homeless pets. Susan previously worked in senior fundraising roles for Clean Air-Cool Planet, CASA, AmeriCares and UNICEF, and has served on nonprofit boards and associations including the International Board of PQMD (partnership for quality medical donations), and as vice chair of the New England Grassroots Fund. Originally from County Cork in the Republic of Ireland, Susan moved to the U.S. in the 1990s. She lived and worked for 17 years in the New York City area and moved to the seacoast area of New Hampshire in 2010 where she lives with her husband, two teenagers and three perfect pets. Susan’s favorite things to talk about are wealth research, gifts of assets, inspiring donors to higher levels of giving, strategy, partnerships and collaboration. She also loves to listen, learn from and befriend everyone she meets.
