Sr. Manager, National Embed Programming
Kristin began her journey with animal sheltering in 2014 when she assumed the role of chief of operations at Pima Animal Care Center in Tucson, Arizona. It was during this time that she developed a passion for animal services and a desire to support people working in animal shelters.She joined Best Friends Animal Society in 2021 as part of the national embed program team and was stationed at Tulsa (Oklahoma) Animal Welfare. During her time in Tulsa, she worked closely with municipal leaders and community partners to implement national proven strategies to improve lifesaving. She was recognized as a Tulsan of the Year award winner by Tulsa World Magazine.Kristin is the senior manager for national embed programming, working collaboratively with shelters across the country in achieving goals and saving more lives.She earned her doctoral degree in organizational leadership at Pepperdine University, where she studied the proven practices of animal services directors in no-kill communities. Kristin shares her life with her husband, their two adopted dogs and one retired office cat.
