Wade Peatross, director of IT infrastructure, security and operations

Wade Peatross is the director of IT infrastructure, security and operations at Best Friends. Wade is responsible for providing a secure, robust and scalable technology infrastructure to support Best Friends’ business strategies and operations.

Wade joined Best Friends Animal Society in 2003, working to design and expand the Best Friends computer network, data and telecommunications systems, and expansion of the fiber optic infrastructure across the Sanctuary. Prior to joining Best Friends, Wade worked in various technology positions, including web hosting, network management and telecommunications. He enjoys the quick-paced, constantly changing aspect of technology and the new challenges it provides.

Wade received his bachelor’s degree in computer science, with emphasis on networking and data communications, from Utah Valley University. He lives in Kanab, Utah, with his wife, Janette, their three children, a dog named Izzy and two cats. Wade has been a long-time volunteer in his community, coaching youth sports for many years. He enjoys the outdoors, hiking and adventures with his family.
