Concordia PAWS was started as a result of Concordia Parish members being concerned about the large amount of stray, neglected, and abused dogs running the streets of Ferriday, LA. Their mission is to rescue and provide shelter, care and rehabilitation for dogs in distress with the purpose of finding them permanent suitable homes. They also work to find areas to transport dogs, with more of a chance of being adopted.
Escambia County Animal Services consists of the Animal Shelter and Animal Control divisions. The division promotes citizen safety, responsible pet ownership and education in the reduction of animal overpopulation. Animal Control enforces and investigates Escambia County's animal control ordinances and Florida state statutes in Escambia County and the city of Pensacola.
PACT for Animals is a champion of the Human-Animal Bond. PACT gives peace of mind to hospital patients and military personnel by placing their pets in temporary foster homes until their owners can be reunited with the companion animals they love.
