Help save cats and dogs in Georgia
In 2019, more than 29,000 dogs and cats were killed in animal shelters in Georgia just because they didn’t have safe places to call home. Together, we’re changing that.
Best Friends Animal Society is working with animal welfare organizations and stakeholders statewide to save every pet who can be saved and reach no-kill throughout Georgia by 2025. Through collaborative partnerships, assessments, mentoring, leadership training and lifesaving grants, we’re empowering animal shelters and advocates to create safe, humane communities for pets and the people who love them.
Here are some simple ways you can help:
- Join the Georgia action team to get involved with local community-based lifesaving efforts
- Sign up for legislative alerts about critical animal-related issues in your city, county and state
- Visit the community lifesaving dashboard to learn more about your own community’s lifesaving status
- Reach out to your local shelter to see what kind of help is most needed to save more pets
You have the power to help save pets’ lives in Georgia and help achieve no-kill for dogs and cats statewide and nationwide by 2025!
