The Homeless Animals' Lifeline Organization (H.A.L.O) has successfully placed over 4200 dogs and cats into loving homes. In addition, we have a large group of volunteers of all ages and work with schools to help educate local youth about the importance of pets in our lives and on how to properly care for them.

The mission of Bedford County Animal Control is to provide Bedford County residents, both human and animal, with courteous, professional, and timely animal care and control services. BCAC fulfills its mission to the community by adopting best practices in the animal welfare field, maintaining a highly trained and dedicated staff, and cooperating with local veterinarians and animal rescue organizations.

Southern Pines Animal Shelter's mission is to provide humane shelter for homeless and lost cats and dogs, provide affordable spay/neuter and healthy pet services, encourage adoptions, and educate the community about responsible pet ownership. As an open admission shelter serving a 13-county area of south Mississippi, Southern Pines cares for approximately 6,000 dogs and cats annually and operates a low-cost Spay & Neuter Clinic.

CBS' resources include: Cat Talk Radio's weekly behavior advice/education podcast, an information rich blog and social media, virtual and in-home consultations, educational seminars and speaking engagements.

Paw It 4ward foundation was established in April 2013 to assist local animal rescues with funds to offset the exorbitant medical bills they incur throughout the year. Often dogs cannot be saved from shelters because their medical care costs is too high and many rescues are presently carrying a large amount of debt that hinders their ability to continue to rescue dogs. The foundation name signifies its purpose - to give back.

SSNA offers high quality, low cost spay neuter to all residents of our community, We constantly seek new programs to better serve our community and reduce the pet population. It is recognized that in order to reduce the number of unwanted animals and resulting euthanasia, we must reach all pet owners, whether they have the ability to pay or not. We opened our spay neuter clinic in July of 2011 with that in mind.
