Korean K9 Rescue Inc
Long Island City, New York 11101

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that rescues dogs from high kill shelters, dog meat farms, and puppy mills in South Korea.  We transport these dogs to the United States and find loving forever homes for them. In the process, we are able to spread awareness about the brutal dog meat trade and be a voice for the voiceless dogs that are still suffering in the meat trade.

Tara's House Animal Rescue, Inc.
Towson, Maryland 21204

Tara's House is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and an “all-breed" dog rescue.  Our mission is to rescue and provide care and compassion for our pets while working to place them in permanent, loving homes.  Tara's House has a dual approach to rescuing companion animals:  1) we rescue from many local Maryland shelters, where we focus primarily on rescuing the “harder to place" dogs, such as those that are older, injured, or those that suffer from unwarranted breed discrimination; and 2) we rescue all breeds of dogs from high-kill shelters in rural areas with little to no funding for their own adoption programs.

Noah's Ark Rescue Project and Sanctuary
Glenmoore, Pennsylvania 19343

Noah’s Ark Rescue Project and Sanctuary (NARPS) was founded in 2015 by Candace Scheirer. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue and welfare organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need, whether from shelters, auctions or owner surrenders. While dogs and cats are our most common rescues, we do quite a bit of work with horses, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks and other farm animals too...and of course all of the other domesticated animals as well! NARPS also has a soft spot for senior pets and special needs pets. NARPS also works with owners in need of assistance with vet care, or other pet related expenses to help keep animals in their homes and barns, and out of shelters and auctions. NARPS is best known for going above and beyond for the animals in our care. We pour our hearts, souls, and wallets into our animals.

Long Beach, California 90804

We service Seniors, Homeless, Low Income, and Homebound individuals in and around Long Beach, who otherwise may not have adequate means to take proper care of their pets.  Spay/neuter is now mandatory in Long Beach because of shelter overpopulation due to a large amount of unwanted puppies and kittens in the facility, leading to euthanasia of many of them. Fix Long Beach is an all-volunteer effort intended to mitigate these numbers. We have been recognized by the Long Beach shelter and several city council members for fixing over 5,000 pets and having contributed to a 70% decline in euthanasia numbers.  Our mission is to make long beach a no kill city. We worked with City council to change the law in Long Beach in 2015 to make Spay and Neuter mandatory and our goal in the next two years is the make this law state-wide.
