Crash's Landing is one of the largest no-kill cat shelters in the Midwest. Big Sid's Sanctuary is one of the largest no-kill shelters for cats with FeLV and FIV in the country, and the only shelter of its type in the State of Michigan. Both shelters have found their niche in their focus on at-risk adult stray cats, especially those who are injured, neglected, or sick.

We accomplish our mission by educating and training animal shelter staff, rescue groups, volunteers and fosters to provide high-quality, cost-effective care through workshops, webinars and consultations, providing outreach and educational materials to animal-welfare professionals and the public, and promoting cooperation and information sharing within the animal-welfare community.

Stratford Animal Rescue Society (STARS) is a non-profit group founded in September 2000 with unanimous support from the Stratford Town Council. The Animal Care Assistance Program (ACAP) is a 501c3 organization that offers funding to low-income and disadvantaged populations in rural Louisa and surrounding counties who cannot otherwise afford pet care including veterinary services and medications for their companion animals. ACAP'S services can also include grooming, emergency surgeries, fencing or housing for chained dogs, pet food and other services as needed. ACAP is dedicated to promoting public education and awareness by educating the communities they serve on the humane care of all pets.

At so many shelters, the age of a dog determines its chances of reaching the adoption floor. We aim to enlighten the public to the joys of owning an older or senior dog through educational programs and to place rescued dogs into forever homes. The dogs will remain in our care until adopted.

The Marion-Grant County Humane Society is a nonprofit organization on a mission to save more lives. We are always searching for new ways to do fundraisers and to get more of our kids to safe and loving homes or rescue groups.
