We are neighbors helping one another in PG County to care for and protect cats, while valuing and respecting our community and environment. PGFF's flagship program is a TNR Program - not just loaning out traps or funding spays and neuters, but a program aimed at population control and the welfare of all living things. PGFF is a local PG business, and works closely with other local PG businesses.
The Baltimore Humane Society (BHS) was founded in 1927 by Elsie Seeger Barton. BHS operates a no-kill animal shelter; a low-cost Spay/Neuter & Pet Wellness Center; the Nicodemus Memorial Park pet cemetery, which also offers free bereavement services to the public; and a 343-acre protected wildlife sanctuary. BHS provides Humane Education programs to schools and youth groups, and is an Open Paw pilot shelter.
The SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George's County, Inc. (PGSPCA) is a nonprofit organization of volunteers dedicated to animal welfare. Our objectives are: To reduce pet overpopulation through our progressive spay/neuter program; To prevent animal cruelty, neglect, and suffering through our investigations, legal action, affordable vaccinations, and an active dog and cat adoption program; humane education.
All Shepherd Rescue rescues homeless / at risk German Shepherds and provides veterinary care and a safe haven until a forever home is found.
We are committed to helping these dogs become ready to find their forever homes, including whatever veterinary care is needed, behavioral help as needed and providing a nurturing environment .
Our goal is also public education on rescue and spay neuter.
Bowie Citizens for Local Animal Welfare advocates for the welfare of animals in the Greater Bowie area. We support the the City of Bowie's short-term animal holding facility by donating supplies and offering volunteer assistance and advocating for animal welfare before local governments. Support of Prince George's County Animal Services by providing supplies; supporting their volunteer program and foster program. Promoting our Pet Food Pantry. Supporting community cats within the area through an active TNR program. Helping with the placement of homeless pets and the return of lost pets.
Inspired by the plight of shelter dogs and the quandary of Black Dog Syndrome, Black Dogs and Company Rescue, Inc. (BDCR) was incorporated in June 2013.We are organized exclusively for the charitable and educational purpose of companion animal rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of dogs considered more difficult to adopt (e.g., black dogs, large dogs, and older dogs).
The Humane Society of Kent County (DBA The Animal Care Shelter for Kent County) serves the Eastern Shore and beyond by rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need. We promote compassion and responsibility through education, advocacy, and affordable services.
