We are a team of Animal Advocates who believe there is a need for a centralized base for animal-related issues in our area. It is our hope that citizens, adopters, rescues, fosters, transporters, volunteers and adoption center staff will come together and share information, ideas, animal-in-need requests, events ,and Lost and Found pets on this site. Through teamwork we can benefit the animals of our area, and address animal issues in a positive manner.

Beare Garden Animal Rescue's mission is to ease the pain, hunger, abuse, as well as to provide shelter and help to find forever homes for the creatures God entrusted to us. By acting as a resource and educating the community, we feel that we can move toward the prevention of over breeding of animals. By facilitating adoptions of homeless and neglected cats we will be able to provide a short-term home for more unwanted or homeless cats and kittens.

Bailey's Human Rescue intends to act as a liaison between animal welfare organizations and the community in order to improve the lives of domesticated animals. BHR will inform and educate the public about responsible pet stewardship by focusing on the importance of spaying or neutering household pets and feral cat colonies.

Country Road Critters is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that helps in local communities and rural areas with community outreach services. We also help our local shelters & other rescues when needed. Our mission is to help keep pets in their homes with their families when they fall on hard times or just need some help. Keeping animals with the only family they may have ever known is our main goal!

The Lenoir County SPCA is a nonprofit, open-door animal shelter in Kinston, NC, taking in ~2,500 animals yearly. Independent from the ASPCA, it relies on donations and a thrift store to cover costs not met by limited local funding. Staff and volunteers work to rehome animals through adoption and rescue partnerships.

Chasin' Tail Rescue, Inc. is a volunteer dog rescue organization dedicated to serving the dogs of North Carolina. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs left homeless for whatever reason - dogs in public kill shelters, dogs given up by their owners and those in danger of neglect or abuse.

Facilitate Rescue, Inc., is a nonprofit organization (EIN 82-2397650) created to save the lives of homeless cats in North Carolina. Our mission is to rescue healthy and treatable cats from high kill animal shelters, provide them with temporary housing and health care, and find them a forever home either directly or through coordination with like-minded no-kill adoption rescues.

Purrfect Hearts Cat Rescue is a volunteer-based rescue in Wilson County, North Carolina. We are working hard to spay/neuter every cat we find! We provide TNVR services to our community as well as adoptions for friendly cats and kittens. We also help low-income families with pet care and supplies.

Our mission is to help feral/community cats in the Zebulon and surrounding areas. The main mission is to TNVR these cats in order to reduce the population. Another part of our purpose is to provide medical help as needed, food, traps, transportation, and educational materials to help our community be successful in the TNVR process.

The primary mission of the Pitt County Animal Shelter is to provide services which safeguard public health and safety by supporting the educations of our citizens on responsible pet ownership, the protection of our community's animals from cruelty and neglect, and the housing, care, placement or resolution of the animals in our community's care. In addition, we are committed to working closely with local non-profit and community organization's to reduce pet overpopulation and provide humane education programs to our community.

Saving Graces 4 Felines is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization formed to help stray, abandoned and feral cats who have no home and are left to fend for themselves in less than desirable environments. The organization's goals are two-fold: to rescue and place in adoptive homes stray or abandoned cats and kittens and to provide Trap/Neuter/Return of feral cats in our community. We also host periodic low-cost Spay/Neuter days for low-income pet owners.

The mission of Friends of the Pitt County Animal Shelter is to lower the euthanasia rate of animals at the Pitt County Animal Shelter by providing foster homes to animals on the intake floor that may be euthanized due to space restrictions, medical needs, or other issues identified by the shelter staff.Pitt Friends volunteers are dedicated to doing our part to make Pitt County a no-kill county and once that is achieved, spreading our mission to surrounding counties in need.

Spay Today is Eastern North Carolina's only low cost, high quality, high volume spay/neuter clinic. Opened in May 2006, we provide services to individuals and animal rescue groups. Spay Today is a proud member of the National Spay/Neuter Response Team (NSNRT) trained and mentored by Humane Alliance in Asheville, NC.
