Road DogsRescue rescues bulldog breeds, with our primary focus being complicated medical dogs, seniors and special needs puppies. They are the most likely to be euthanized. They are often dumped at shelters or abandoned at veterinary clinics. Some regard them as defective and shun them. We see them as just differently beautiful and differently abled and they deserve to live amazing lives!
Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate as many abandoned and neglected cats as we can each year. Prior to adoption, we spay/neuter, vaccinate, de-worm, de-flea, micro-chip and FIV/FELV test all cats and kittens. We find loving, safe and permanent homes for all of the cats that we take in to our rescue. We have TNR projects at 2 feral colony locations where we feed, give fresh water to and monitor daily.
At Wayward Souls Rescue our approach is simple: intake prevention, because an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of kibble. We're positive that with education, outreach, and a dash of charm, we can turn the tide on abandoned pets and ensure every animal gets the second chance they deserve. Through collaboration, compassion, and innovation, Wayward Souls Rescue strives to create lasting change and build a humane and supportive environment for all creatures.

Paws For Life K9 Rescue pulls its dogs from high-kill shelters. Often, we choose dogs that would most likely be euthanized at the shelter. We do this because our trainers can dedicate all of their time to their rehabilitation. After several months of training, our dogs are ready for family life after completing theirAKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. Some are trained to become service animals for military veterans with PTSD. By lowering euthanasia rates and preparing dogs for service-jobs, PFL is proving that everyone deserves a second chance.

We service Seniors, Homeless, Low Income, and Homebound individuals in and around Long Beach, who otherwise may not have adequate means to take proper care of their pets.Spay/neuter is now mandatory in Long Beach because of shelter overpopulation due to a large amount of unwanted puppies and kittens in the facility, leading to euthanasia of many of them. Fix Long Beach is an all-volunteer effort intended to mitigate these numbers. We have been recognized by the Long Beach shelter and several city council members for fixing over 5,000 pets and having contributed to a 70% decline in euthanasia numbers. Our mission is to make long beach a no kill city. We worked with City council to change the law in Long Beach in 2015 to make Spay and Neuter mandatory and our goal in the next two years is the make this law state-wide.
We focus on providing dignity, love and a second chance to homeless animals by ensuring they receive the medical care, attention and time they need to find their forever home.
