Why do we strut? 

We strut to raise money to save the lives of the dogs and cats who need it most. 

Every day, more than 1,000 dogs and cats are killed in shelters simply because they don’t have safe places to call home. We are determined to reduce that number and create a no-kill country by 2025. 

When you choose to participate in Strut Your Mutt, you can support and raise funds for Best Friends or your favorite participating animal welfare organization. Whether you register as an individual or a team, every dollar raised goes directly toward helping homeless pets.

Network partners are raising money for their organizations 

Network partner organizations participate in Strut Your Mutt to raise the crucial funds needed to save lives of more pets in their care. 

This year, organizations all across Salt Lake City are participating in Strut Your Mutt to raise money and save the lives of animals in their care. You can support them when you register for Strut Your Mutt and start a fundraiser to benefit them.

You’ll spend the first part of the event walking with people and their pups. Once you complete the route, you’ll find lots more festivities and fun at the finish line. 

10:00 – Registration check-in 

11:00 – Walk begins 

12:00 – Stage entertainment (raffle, contests, and more!)

2:00 – Event wrap-up

Volunteer: Help while having fun 

Are you looking for the perfect opportunity to have fun while also making a difference in the lives of pets in need? Sign up to be a Strut Your Mutt volunteer! 

We're looking for volunteers just like you to support our lifesaving animal fundraising event in Salt Lake City.  

The event is always a blast, but it takes a team of energetic and dedicated people to make it happen. That’s where you come in. You’ll not only be helping a great cause, but you’ll also have fun and connect with others in the animal welfare community.   

There are so many ways you can help! Volunteers are involved with everything from registration to helping along the walking route. We'll also need help with other tasks, including event setup, cleaning, and more.
