Last week all of the birds were moved into a new temporary building while the Parrot Headquarters is torn down and rebuilt. The change in address has been very beneficial to Jeb Stuart's respiratory system. Older buildings are often full of dust and other air contaminants. A new module building does not have that build-up for the birds to be breathing in.
The set-up of the building is also playing a part in making Jeb a happy bird. We have divided the birds by species, and the noise level has been drastically reduced. It is always easier to be happy and comfortable when you aren't trying to live in a cacophony of noise.
Jeb always responds when someone says his name. He has a "nice to see you" whistle that he only uses when you say hi to him. He is so smart and interactive that it is almost scary sometimes!
