Volunteering with animals at Best Friends
To keep our staff, guests and the animals safe, we’re reopening to the nearby public on June 25, 2020. This means that residents of Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico or Wyoming who drive to the Sanctuary are welcome to book lodging, reserve a tour or sign up for a volunteer shift. We look forward to inviting guests from all locations soon and thank you for your understanding.
Whether you help at our Sanctuary located in beautiful Angel Canyon in Kanab, Utah, in your community, or from your home, you'll make a real difference in the lives of homeless pets, meet others who love animals, and have fun!
Animal volunteer opportunities at the Sanctuary
Join the thousands of people who come from all over the world every year to work with our roughly 1,600 Sanctuary animals. From walking an enthusiastic dog, to cleaning a rabbit run, to just sitting and talking to a shy cat, there's always plenty to do. Plan your Sanctuary volunteer experience.
Help rescue pets near you
Can't make it to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Southern Utah? There are ample animal shelter volunteer opportunities and ways to help rescue pets around the country:
Don't forget the animals in your own community. Search for Best Friends Network partners near you (animal rescue organization and shelters that have partnered with us) and give them a hand. We have partners all over the country.
Feel the pleasure and fulfillment that helping animals brings. And regardless of where you choose to volunteer, your efforts, no matter how big or small, help to Save Them All.
