They arrived at temporary shelters confused, scared and overwhelmed after what they’d been through. Just like thousands of people in Hurricane Harvey’s path, pets in Texas braved and survived massive flooding that destroyed their homes and upended their lives.

At the same time relief arrived for people in Texas, Best Friends arrived to care for pets displaced by the storm, reunite as many dogs and cats as possible and, if someone didn’t come looking for them, help them into new homes.

Now, four months after the storm, families that adopted Hurricane Harvey survivors are sharing photos of their animals living the good life and enjoying the holidays safe and loved in their new homes. They’re too sweet not to share.

Each of these pets, plus hundreds more, are in homes for the holidays because of everyone who donated, volunteered, fostered or adopted. That’s what it means to Save Them All.
