Just One More Hill To Climb For Cha Cha

Cha Cha's back was broken when she was hit by a car, but not her spirit. The little black Lab mix went through grueling surgery and rehabilitation but so far has regained only a small percentage of the muscle control to her hind end, not that it seems to bother her at all. She gets around just fine on her wheels and especially loves to go along on hikes. She can cover just about any terrain and as long as you’re not climbing a rock face she’ll stick with you. Miraculously, her muscle tone continues to improve although it is unlikely that she will ever regain the use of her hind legs.

Cha Cha's first owner, didn't provide a very good life for her. She spent some of her time on a chain in the back yard and the rest of the time running the neighborhood. When she had her run in with a car her owner was going to put her down but a neighbor stepped in and paid for expensive surgery and acupuncture. She saved her life but Cha Cha, just like any special needs dog, requires a lot of time, attention and TLC but she is worth every ounce. Cha Cha loves kids and gets on great with other dogs. She is very cooperative and easy to handle and at a tidy 30+ pounds is pretty easy to move in and out of car and crate.

Her next big challenge is finding a new home with someone who will love her as much as she will love them.
