Optional Sunday Trip with Alley Cat Allies
Join us for this fun field trip to learn more about the Boardwalk Cats Project. With the help of more than 20 volunteers, Alley Cat Allies currently cares for 16 community cat colonies along the Atlantic City boardwalk. Since the project’s inception in 2000, the overall population of cats there has declined 77 percent, and no kittens have been born since 2004.
Alley Cat Allies president Becky Robinson, staff and volunteers will be your guides, sharing stories of successes, challenges and lessons they have learned. They’ll also provide a brief history of some of the boardwalk’s most interesting residents. Plus, the ever-popular Frank the Feral will make a guest appearance! Join the tour and get ready to find out how a trap-neuter-return (TNR) program can enrich the lives of cats and the community.
Transportation to and from the boardwalk will be provided by Best Friends. Guest pick up is at Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center Porte Cochere.
