Pet Transport Resources

Many volunteer pet transport services utilize "multi-leg transports," which means that several volunteers each drive one or more "legs." Such transport arrangements can be very stressful for animals. In addition, each time an animal is transferred to a new individual in a different vehicle, there is the risk of injury or escape to the animal. While multi-leg transports can be a good option in many cases, we strongly encourage you to use caution when considering this type of transport.

This list may not be comprehensive. Groups tend to form or discontinue without a lot of fanfare. You can also try searching online using criteria such as "animal transport" and considering including the name of your state or destination state in your search.

Please note: The inclusion of a service, organization or program in this listing is NOT an endorsement or recommendation. We have not checked them all out. Even if we attempted to do so, management and policies can change suddenly. We strongly suggest that you check them out yourself before using a specific service.
