El Animal Refuge Center (ARC) es una organización y santuario privado, sin fines de lucro y que no mata a los animales, ubicado en North Fort Myers, Florida. En los 29 años transcurridos desde la creación de ARC en 1988, ARC ha crecido hasta convertirse en el santuario sin matanza más grande ubicado en el suroeste de Florida y brinda servicios a Lee y los condados circundantes. Nuestra misión se centra en reducir la población de mascotas sin hogar y las tasas de eutanasia en nuestra área a través de educación, extensión, programas comunitarios y colaboración con otras organizaciones gubernamentales y no gubernamentales de bienestar animal. ARC no practica la eutanasia por comportamiento o enfermedades/lesiones tratables y, a menudo, acepta animales que necesitan atención médica urgente o prolongada. Todos los gatos y perros que llegan a ARC están esterilizados o castrados (si es necesario), tienen chip, reciben las vacunas y la atención médica necesarias, reciben entrenamiento conductual y tienen un hogar de por vida si no son adoptados.
