La misión del Fondo Animals In Need es: - Proporcionar refugio y atención veterinaria a perros y gatos que vienen a nosotros sin dueño, reunir a la mascota con su dueño si es posible o colocar a la mascota en un hogar adoptivo cariñoso. - Promover y subvencionar la esterilización de todos los perros y gatos. - Mejorar el vínculo entre humanos y animales para las mascotas desatendidas y sus dueños a través de educación, atención accesible y requisitos estrictos de esterilización/castración. Breve descripción general de la organización Animals in Need Fund es una organización sin fines de lucro 501(c)(3) que presta servicios en los condados del sur de San Luis Obispo y del norte de Santa Bárbara. La agencia ofrece esterilización, castración y cirugías que salvan vidas subsidiadas para: a) perros y gatos de compañía propiedad de familias de bajos ingresos que no pueden pagar dichos procedimientos; y b) animales sin hogar, entregados al Hospital Nipomo DogCat, que son puestos en adopción tras su recuperación. Todos los fondos se utilizarán para cuidar perros y gatos para que puedan ser adoptados en hogares amorosos en lugar de sacrificarlos.
