La Butler County Humane Society, una organización sin fines de lucro, en asociación con el Centro de Adopción Helen Spaide Albig, proporciona un refugio temporal, seguro y sin muerte para perros y gatos adoptables sin hogar, colocándolos en última instancia en hogares amorosos o con rescates afectuosos mientras aumentar la conciencia comunitaria sobre el trato humano de los animales a través de la educación, programas de esterilización y castración, clínicas contra la rabia y el respeto por la vida.
