Hui Pono Holoholona, fundada en 2007, es una organización sin fines de lucro 501c3, compuesta por voluntarios 100% dedicados, que busca reducir la sobrepoblación animal, el abandono de animales y la eutanasia para personas con alto riesgo de enfermedades. Para ello, ofrece servicios de esterilización y castración de perros y gatos en la isla de Hawái, a bajo costo o gratuitos. En 2007, más de 13,000 animales fueron sacrificados en la isla de Hawái cada año. Miles más son abandonados, perdidos o salvajes. HUI PONO HOLOHOLONA concientizará a la comunidad sobre la necesidad de detener la sobrepoblación animal de forma humanitaria mediante la esterilización animal, y la importancia de la compañía responsable y la tenencia a través de la amabilidad y el respeto. HPH apoyará el programa TNRM-Trap Neuter Return Management of Cat Colonies, ofreciendo esterilización gratuita.
